However, there is one highly specialized, deeply controversial archetype that completely ignores this fundamental rule: the Siege deck.

This article dives deep into the high-stress, high-reward world of Siege gameplay and how to construct the ultimate impenetrable fortress.
The Defensive Wall
The entire strategy of a Siege deck revolves around a single, fragile building that costs a massive amount of elixir to deploy.

You use these cheap troops as meat shields, physically blocking enemy tanks and assassins from ever touching your precious artillery.
If you know they will use a Skeleton Army to distract the X-Bow, hover your Log and drop it the second the X-Bow deploys. If the X-Bow locks onto an enemy tank instead of the tower, do not overcommit. It provides incredible defense and stalls the game until you can launch an offensive one.
Different Flavors of Siege
X-Bow decks are usually built around fast cycling, aiming to out-pace the opponent's heavy tanks so the X-Bow has a clear line of sight.

Because it is cheaper, it is less punishing if it gets destroyed, making Mortar decks slightly more forgiving and versatile.
Enemy CounterYour DefenseHeavy Tanks (Golem, Giant) blocking the shotsPlay hyper-defensively; use the Siege weapon purely as a defensive building in the center to stall for a drawHeavy Spells (Rocket, Lightning) destroying the weaponYou must out-cycle their spell; play your X-Bow faster than they can draw their Rocket
The Mental Toll of Siege
You are playing a strategy designed specifically to deny the opponent the ability to play their own game.

It is the ultimate control archetype, demanding flawless execution and cold, mathematical precision.
